”Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.“
Matthew 11:28
In a world filled with chaos and turmoil, Jesus serves as a beacon of hope for those who are overwhelmed by the weight of their troubles.
Robert Morrison was the first Christian missionary to translate the Bible into Chinese and also the first to embark on a lifelong mission to spread Christianity to the Chinese people. He faced numerous challenges and hardships during his mission, including language barriers, opposition from Chinese officials, and struggles with illness. Despite these difficulties, he found solace and comfort in the promise of rest and support from the Word of God. He persevered and made significant contributions to the spread of Christianity in China. He is a widely respected figure in the history of Christian missions.
Matthew 11:28 is a message of hope, comfort, and salvation. It reminds that in the midst of life’s challenges, there is a source of enduring rest and peace available to all who turn to Jesus with faith and trust.
“If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look at God you’ll be at rest.”
