”I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.“
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬ ‭

Christian walk is not always easy and obstacles may arise, but believers are urged to focus on the higher calling of God rather than earthly distractions.

Bill Glass, a football player turned evangelist who pioneered evangelical sports and prison ministry.
In 2019, his evangelistic prison ministry reported that up to that year in their ministry’s history, they had trained 58,550 Christians to share their faith, reaching 6,056,432 incarcerated men, women and youth, with over 1.2 million commitments to Jesus. Through his actions both on and off the field, Bill Glass has served as a role model for perseverance, dedication, and using one’s platform for good. His legacy serves as a reminder of the positive impact that athletes and public figures can have on their communities.

Philippians 3:14 serves as a reminder for believers to maintain unwavering faith, determination, and focus on the eternal reward that awaits those who persevere in their walk with Christ. It encourages us to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of our faith, as we strive towards the heavenly prize set before us.

“Obstacles are what you see when you take your eye off the goal.”
